A Study on Disability and Access in Club Culture ~ with the University of Bath
Dancefloor Intimacy and Keren MacLennan from University of Bath are exploring the experiences of Disabled people in nightlife.
The research questionnaire has recently been shared, so whether you attend, perform, work, or organise events, you can participate!
We want to hear from you to help identify barriers, celebrate what’s working, and shape more inclusive, accessible nightlife spaces. We’re also keen to hear from promoters, club owners, and venue teams about your experiences hosting Disabled audiences, performers, or staff, and what’s needed to make your spaces more accessible.
The research findings will be shared directly with venues, giving them practical, evidence-based insights to act on. Crucially, the data gathered will also be used to make the case — backed by numbers and lived experience — that making nightlife more accessible isn't optional. It's necessary.
